Native and Latina Princess Graphic Novels
Fernanda Lozado is a 2D animator and illustrator from Mexico City. She aims to improve and help grow the industry in Mexico and Latin America.
Fernanda was as a finalist in Pictoline's 1st Biennial of Illustration and won the 2017 Mexican Institute of Cinematography grant to produce her short film, Bouclette, set to premiere in festivals in 2021.
Animator by day and lindyhopper by night, Fernanda loves bringing her passion for goats, rollerskating, and all things vintage into her various animation works; while keeping an eye on the family business as a goatly unique ice-cream entrepreneur.
Karin Almazan is an illustrator, inker, and comic creator from México. She co-created the webcomic, Parellet, and webtoon Frostbond.
Karina has also worked as videogame illustrator and concept artist for toys under the names of BigMonster and JustToys Intl.
Adriana DLT (a.k.a Akimaro) is a Mexican illustrator with a background in graphic design. By living in the border state of Chihuahua, she grew up close to both Mexico and the US traditions.
Akimaro's style is heavily inspired by manga aesthetics, with a Latina twist; which has lead her to collaborate with publishers such as Penguin Random House and Doméstika.
After participating in various art projects, Akimaro understood the importance of female representation in media, and most importantly, Latina representation; which she now pursues and encourages in all her works.
Sandra Romero is a first generation Mexican-American graphic designer based in Southern California.
Growing up, she was drawn to powerful female role models in cartoons and media. Sandra values her relationship and friendship with her mother. Following her mother's advice, she pursued higher education to be able to work on art, graphics, and work on projects with female leads for other little girls.
Princess Academia stands as a prestigious boarding school, drawing in the brightest princesses from across the galaxies. Within its hallowed halls, these royal beings are organized into quadrants. The Majestics, a select group of princesses endowed with extraordinary magical abilities, include Alora, the enchanting witch princess; Novi, the celestial space princess; Mexica, the regal Aztec princess; Swan, the graceful water princess; and Macab, the enigmatic death princess.
An eerie mystery shrouds Princess Academia. Night after night, princesses mysteriously vanish, and recently, an entire close-knit clique disappeared without a trace. It falls upon the Majestics princess team to uncover the sinister curse that haunts the academy and put an end to its dark power.
